WHERE DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH YOUR SESSIONS?

Marcus Roy Hoffman photographs sessions both on location and in the studio. Depending on the session type you desire (Senior, Family, Model portfolio, etc.) you will have several options choose from. For the most part sessions do take place on location.

WHAT IS A “MINIMUM PURCHASE”?

A “minimum purchase” is the minimum amount a client must invest in their order with Marcus Roy Hoffman Photography.

Minimum orders are developed in an effort to allocate our customer’s time and budget appropriately as well covering our time in order to deliver the highest consistent quality and service for our clients.

Our minimum purchases/starting amounts are based on our experience of what most clients have chosen to order for that specific session.  We have multiple custom sessions that provide a variety of options (Length of session, number of locations, hair & makeup, wardrobe changes, video etc.) to help our clients make the best selection for their needs.

WHAT IS A CONSULTATION?

We like to take this time meet with our clients at a consultation before your Senior Portraits photoshoot to go over all the details of your portrait experience.  We talk about the locations you like, wardrobe/styling ideas, and time of day, weather and all other details of your shoot. We’ll also set up your ordering appointment so on the day of your session everyone can relax and have a great experience getting great images!

If meeting in person for a consultation is not an option, we can go over everything you need to know over the phone. We want to make sure that your senior portrait session is everything you want and more!

WHAT IS A SENIOR MODEL FOR MARCUS ROY HOFFMAN PHOTOGRAPHY?

If you’re a rising high school senior, consider yourself a candidate for our Senior Models program. Otherwise, our Senior Models are chosen by the businesses we work with currently, by clients we’ve worked with in the past, or referrals from previous Senior Models. Our Senior Model program comes with a number of perks that we’re excited to share with you, if you’re interested! Give us a call for the details. Basically, if chosen, you’d represent our studio for your senior year of high school! This honor includes, but is certainly not limited to, the following highlights:

  • Be the face of Marcus Roy Hoffman Photography both online and in the community for your senior year of high school!
  • Model for new location shoots, portfolio building, collaborative projects, or photography workshops we teach!
  • Model for commercial and fashion shoots with other businesses we partner with!
  • Be featured on prints and canvases at local businesses, boutiques, and advertising locations, as well as on national photography blogs and articles!
  • Be eligible for national senior portrait modeling contests!

Just a few notes: Minimum purchase is required for the Senior Model package. Also, when you’re chosen to be a Senior Model for us, you agree to ONLY be photographed by Marcus Roy Hoffman Photography your senior year and can’t be featured on websites or other social media pages by any other professional photography studios. (This, of course, does not include school or yearbook photographers!)

DO YOU OFFER CUSTOM FRAMING?

Yes. Marcus specializes in one of a kind artwork for your home. We offer custom canvas gallery wraps, metal/wood prints, gallery blocks and custom-framed portrait art (in addition to other custom art displays, such as our image books and albums). We work with each client to assist you in selecting the perfect style of displays for your images in your home.

WHEN DO I SEE THE IMAGES FROM MY SESSION AND MAKE MY ORDER?

Scheduling - Ordering appointments are scheduled on Monday / Wednesday / Friday during business hours. The most important decisions in the portrait process occur during your ordering appointment. We take great pride in providing our clients with an interactive and fun way to place your order.

When - The ordering appointment will take place approximately 10-14 days after your portrait session, and will be scheduled at your booking consultation. We encourage all decision makers be present as this is the appointment where your final ordering decisions will be made. You will want to devote your full attention (ordering appointments take between 1 and 2 hours) and we ask that you arrange for a babysitter for children under the age of 12.

WHAT HAPPENS AT THE ORDERING APPOINTMENT?

After your portraits are edited and ready for viewing, Marcus will come to you to present your images in a way only a boutique photographer can — In the comfort of your home.

All of your images are set to a slide show showcasing you. You and your parents can check out all of the products we offer during your ordering session. We will be there to help guide you through the selection process and help you select the images, groupings, books, and frames suitable for your home, office, as well as gifts for friends and family.

WHEN WILL I GET MY ORDER?

Your portraits will be ready for pickup approximately 3-6 weeks after your order is placed. This date will be set at your consultation. The quality we deliver takes time, so please allow us the time needed to provide you with the quality you expect from a custom portrait photography studio.

WILL YOU KEEP THE IMAGES AFTER THE PHOTOSHOOT?

Non-ordered images will be removed from our system following your ordering appointment – we do not archive images that are not ordered. All purchased images are archived for up to 1 year.

WHAT IF I NEED TO RESCHEDULE?

We understand that unexpected things can happen. Illnesses, weather, travel delays or emergencies can happen to us all. If you need to reschedule, please call us 24-48 hours in advance. While our session fees are non-refundable, you may use it for a one-time session rescheduling (if you call within the 24-48 hour advance notice) within 6 months of your original appointment date.

WHEN DO I PAY MY SESSION FEE? WHAT DOES THIS COVER?

Your full session fee payment is required at the time of booking. When you book your session, you are paying for our time and talent. Our team has years of hands on experience putting together successful photoshoots incorporating fashion, makeup and amazing locations. Session fees are non-refundable.

CAN YOU SHIP MY ORDER?

Of course! Would we be happy to ship your order. We charge a shipping and handling fee for your portrait order.

WHEN IS MY ORDER PAYMENT DUE?

We require 100% payment of your order before any work begins. Full payment must be received to get any digital or yearbook images. All orders are made custom for you and are non-refundable.

CAN I MAKE COPIES OF THE IMAGES?

All images remain the property of Marcus Roy Hoffman Photography and are protected by federal copyright laws. Duplication any part of the photographs (either by scanning or reprinting) is strictly prohibited and will be prosecuted by law. This includes posting scanned images to social media websites. Please ask if there is something you want to use. We are happy to help you out sharing with your friends and family.

CAN I USE THE IMAGES FROM MY SESSION FOR YEARBOOK?

Images purchased during your ordering session can be used for yearbook use once full payment is made. Please select the images you would like to use at your ordering session.
